HD-Audio Codec

The Conexant SmartAMC HD is the worlds only Audio + Modem product in a compact two-chip solution. The SmartAMC HD Audio Modem Codec (AMC) Device Set with Conexants third generation SmartDAA? technology (SmartDAA 3) is compliant with Intels HD Audio Specification (Revision 1.0) Audio Codec for a combo AMC. The audio supports 2.1 and 5.1 audio standards, mono and stereo microphone inputs, and audio jack retasking capabilities. The audio also supports audio formats ranging from CD quality to DVD-Audio. The modem supports V.92/V.90 analog receive data up to 56 kbps with V.44 data compression, V.17 analog fax to 14.4 kbps, voice/TAM, high quality soft speakerphone, and HD Audio interface operation. The SmartAMCHD device set consists of a CX20551 Host Side Device (HSD) in a 48-pin LQFP and a CX20493 SmartDAA 3 Line Side Device in a 28-pin QFN.
