The Vatican Museums calendar - 2008 Edition
This calendar shows a series of images from the Vatican Museum frescoes. The greatest Italian artists who left their mark by way of their incredible works like the Last Judgement and the
Creation of Adam by Michelangelo, Descent from the Cross by Caravaggio, the Resurrection by Pinturicchio, the School of Athens and Transfiguration by Raphael and many others including
Barocci, Botticelli and Guido Reni. This is the official Vatican Museum calendar and is ready to be hung on a wall. It has a two page format. One shows the fresco detail and the other shows
the numbers with the days of the week associated with the saints and the important liturgical events that take place in the Vatican. On the page with the days of the month, the previous and
following months are also shown, plus a description in ten languages of the printed image. In the medium and small versions, there are only the numbers of the months with the initials of
the days of the week. Both versions come with a base so the calendar can stand on a desk. These calendars narrate the history of Italian art through their images. Available on this site and
at Savelli retail outlets.
