From our humble beginnings as trader of vegetable protein and curing salt under Metropolitan General Merchandize in 1982, it has evolved into forefront provider of premium products, packaging materials and food ingredients. Renowned now as simply MGM, its two operating divisions : Packaging and Food Ingredients has earned a special niche in the market being the pioneering manufacturer and supplier of specialized flexible packaging material and customized food ingredients.

MGMs Packaging division converts and trades specialized quality flexible packaging materials. These include laminated vacuum bags, co-extruded shrink and non-shrink vacuum bags. Cook-in and ship-in casings, laminates of standard, medium and high barrier properties, thermoformable films (top and bottom web), stand up pouches, grease proof papers and other specialized packaging materials customized to meet customers specific requirements It also trades specialized flexible packaging materials and packaging aids.

The Food Ingredients Division blends functional food ingredients such as curing salts, phosphate binders, different types of carrageenans and vegetable protein for moisture and cost control. It also produces gravies, sauces and condiments, marinades, breadings, and seasonings for meat, fish, vegetables and snacks application. Thru its Research and Development Department, it is continually developing proprietary products as raw material or in finished form - customized or toll processed for easy, quick and consistent quality.
