Flexible Packaging

Considering the Industry trends and to further strengthen its packaging division, the DS Group forayed into Flexible Packaging to provide complete packaging solutions to its customers. A Flexible Packaging Unit has been commissioned at Bonda, Assam for manufacturing laminates and pouches used for packaging consumer products like snacks, soaps, shampoos, etc. This is the first mega converting unit of flexible packaging material in Assam catering to whole of East and Northeast India. This unit with a total installed capacity of 3600 MT annually is well equipped to customize packaging, to suit varied application needs. Flexible Packaging is a highly growing sector with approximately 16-18% growth annually. This unit offers nine colour surface & reverse printing and offers versatile barrier combinations. The laminate structure entirely depends on the nature of the product for which the laminate has to be prepared. Custom & Specialty coating is an added option possible with flexible packaging. Precision, high speed slitting capabilities and high tensile strength makes flexible packaging highly reliable and user-friendly. Due to ease of automation the laminates are the most preferred form of packaging.
