Factory is produced approximately 12.000 to 15.000 tons of olive oil in a year.
There are many kinds of oils produced under different brand name. Some of them are: Natural extra virgin olive oil, Organic extra virgin olive oil, Pure Olive oil, seasoned extra virgin olive oil and extra virgin olive oil with vinegar.
- Our olive oil is single origin (from one region). Most major brands of olive oil in the US are blends of olive oil from several nations or regions. This allows us to give you a product with a consistently pleasing flavor and appearance.
- Over half a million people in Turkey make a living off of the fruit of the olive tree.
- The olives in Turkey are mostly harvested by hand and are often grown in organic conditions. The extra cost to get official organic certification prevents many small growers from putting this on the label.
- The Mediterranean and Aegean climate in Northern Aegean coast is very similar to that of the Tuscan region of Italy. The sandy soil conditions, sea breeze and unique varieties of olives in Turkey all contribute to its fruity, light taste of our olive oil.
- The olive tree originated in the region that is now Turkey ("Asian Minor" or "Anatolia") and later spread around the Mediterranean.
- Thought it varies from year to year, up to 70% of Turkish olive oil is exported in bulk to Italy, Spain, the US and other nations. It is often blended, bottled and re-exported to the US as "bottled in Italy" or "imported from Italy".
- For many years Turkey has been the 3rd largest supplier of olive oil to the US, after Italy and Spain.
