Description: Caprolactam - C6H11NO.   Organic compound which is a cyclic amide (or lactam).  It is obtained from cyclohexanone oxime in Beckmann rearrangement reaction. 
Form: Liquid or solid. 
Characteristics: Color:
Liquid: Colorless and clear liquid
Solid: White hygroscopic substance
Odor: Both forms have specific mild odor.
Features: Caprolactam is an irritant and is toxic. 
Application: It is well known plasticizer.  A basic raw material used in the production of thermoplastic polymer such as polyamide resin, plastic engineering as well as textile industry to produce technical yarns.
Shipping & Transportation: Liquid: as transported, in special covered tank cars, and tank trucks and/or railcars of large capacity.
Solid:
Palettes PE sealed bags, welded, wrapped in stretch foil
Palettes or not on palettes double bags for manual handling
Internal PE bag not connected with external bag, closed by welding, external protective bag of PP or PP-laminated paper closed by stitching. Bag protected by wrapping in stretch foil
Standard weight: 25 Kg. 
Storage: To be stored in pressure bottles, cisterns or spherical and cylindrical stationary tanks and in protective environment in accordance with local safety requirements.
