About Oxo-Biodegradable PET Bottles for the Bottled Water Business
Norland International has partnered with Planet Green Bottle Corporation to introduce oxo-biodegradable (oxo-bio) PET preforms and plastic bottles to the bottled water industry.
Today, approximately 60 billion plastic water bottles are discarded annually in the United States, according to industry sources. If those bottles contained oxo-bio materials they would disappear
in four to 10 years. Industry sources tell us only about 23% of all PET bottles are recycled, leaving 77% to go to landfills or just tossed out. Thats why its so important that the bottled water
industry moves quickly to adopt oxo-bio bottles and why Norland International has gotten involved with this technology early.
