Many varieties of packaging films are being produced to cover all purposes such as snacks, bakery, crisps, chocolate, tobacco and vegetables packing. Other applications include the lamination with
glossy and matte films of other products like paper.
Established in 1998, it was named Dubai Poly Film L.L.C. which was the first BOPP Plant with an 8,000 tpa capacity (line one), in the United Arab Emirates. Today and after strong and continuous growth, TI is now the G.C.C. and the Middle East largest BOPP producer with total production capacity of 52,000 tpa.
In 2001, because of the continuing growth in domestic and the international market demand, facing capacity constraints, commissioned a 14,000 tpa, production line (line two). The total capacity is around 22,000 tpa, which will enable to consolidate its position in the rapidly growing domestic market, while serving export markets for niche high-end BOPP applications.
During the commissioning of the 2nd line, the company management team has decided to commission the 3rd line of about 30,000 tpa, making TI one of the leading BOPP manufacturers worldwide with a total capacity of 52,000 tpa. The additional capacity is located at Dubai facilities, where surplus land, support infrastructure and trained manpower are already available.
Through subsequent mergers and acquisitions in Egypt and Oman, group annual output capacity reached 100,000 tones.
