Stretch Film

The stretch film business of SciPack occupies a combined built-up area of nearly 85,000 sq ft. Machineries are housed in two modern manufacturing facilities within the vicinity of Port Klang, Malaysia 's premier port.Operations began in early 1997 with a capacity of 8,000 MT per annum and further expansion over the years enabled the capacity to grow to a current capacity of 60,000 MT per annum. Stretch film is made on state-of-the-art cast film production equipment from the USA. Ranging from 2500mm to 3000mm width, these machines utilise the latest technologies for controls, extrusion and winding capability with on-line gauging systems to produce stretch films for a variety of performance specifications and sizes. Automated roll handling equipment, for roll change and removal, are installed on all the cast machines to enable efficient end-line operations. High-speed rewinding machines from Europe are utilised for the conversion to handwrap products, producing in excess of 30,000 rolls per day.The product range includes handwrap, standard machinewrap and power pre-stretch machinewrap in various film width and thickness. Film used for specialty applications such as UV film, mini rolls, banding film and silage film is custom-made.
