Gravure Inks are used in the packaging industry, particulary for food products. There are 2 types of gravure inks for surface printing and reverse printing.
In the flexible packaging and laminating field centered on food packaging such as snack and high retort food, the " FineStar ", the multi-purpose lamination ink (without hardener) is used.
This ink has comparable performance to the toluene type, and also exhibits stable adhesiveness and good lamination since a great improvement has been made in printing effects such as dot
reproductivity on highlighted parts and the printability with less hazing.
