222 Series
One Stroke Inks
Description
The 222 Series is our general purpose nylon screen printing ink. Mainly for printing 100% nylon uniforms,
shorts, bags, and jackets, the 222 Series does not require the use of a bonding agent or catalyst for adhesion
to these items unless they are waterproof or water resistant. Available in many colors, the 222 Series can
match any manfacturers trim or material. If not, custom color matching is available.
Printable Fabrics
Light to dark 100% nylon only. Use on 100%
polyester is not recommended due to possible
problems with dye migration. Add 10% nylon
catalyst when printing waterproof garments.
Screen Mesh
86 to 158 monofilament screen mesh is
recommended depending on the detail of the art
work, color of the ink, and color of the garment.
Squeegees
60, 70, and 80 single durometer rubber is
recommended for most applications.
Flash Time & Temperature
Flash for 5 to 6 seconds with a standard infrared
unit. Excessive flash time or temperature is not
recommended. This may cause dye migration or
over-print adhesion difficulty.
Curing
The entire ink film must reach 320 degrees
Fahrenheit. Every conveyor dryer will operate
differently due to the large number of variables.
Under-cured garments will likely exhibit cracking
or flaking after washing.
Reducers
All of the inks we manufacture are ready-to-print. If
reducing is required, please add Curable Reducer,
Visco Minus, or Athletic Reducer (5% maximum).
Cleaning
We distribute numerous cleaners for our plastisol
inks. These cleaners include: PW4, IR4, Franmar
Chemicals, Screen Wash, and Citrus Green.
Available Colors
A full selection of colors, white, and custom colors
are available. Provide a Pantone number, ink
swatch, or material sample for matching.
Important Note
Always perform a pretest print and test cure conditions on the fabric to be printed to establish the best
results. Stir inks vigorously before each use. Viscosity may need adjusting for best results. If there is ever a
