with excellent properties as a cooking media. From corn germ which is rich in oil (45 - 50 %), corn oil of high quality is extracted. Tocopherol (vitamin E)/essential amino acids ratio is better
with corn oil than with sunflower seed oil. Investigations have shown that the use of corn oil decreases the level of coronary diseases. Corn oil can also be used in the production of margarine.
