Cautions:    Generally regarded as non-irritant.However, it can provoke sensitization reactions in some people. Use in low concentrations of around 1 per cent.

Safety Data:    Non-toxic, non-irritant, a few cases of sensitization reported. Use in moderation, since its heady scent can cause headaches or nausea.

Blends well with:    Other florals, black pepper, citrusessences, frankincense, geranium, vetiver. rosewood, jasmine, Peru balsam, rose, tuberose,bergamot, mimosa, cassia.

Key Qualities:    Warming refreshing, reviving.

Properties:    Aphrodisiac, antidepressant, antinfectious,antiseborrhoeic, antiseptic, euphoric, hypotensive, nerving, regulator,sedative (nervous), stimulant (circulatory), tonic.

Main Constituents:    Methyl benzoate, methyl salicylate, linalyacetate, cadinene, caryophyllene, pinene, cresol, eugenol, linalol, geraniol,benzyl alcohol, sesquiterpenes, acetic acid, benzoic acid, phenol, cresolmethyl ether.

Characteristics:    Pale yellow and clear liquid. The aroma is intensely sweet and floral, reminiscent of almonds and jasmine combined.

Extraction Method:    Essential oil by water or steam distillation from the freshly picked flowers.
