Eucalyptus Oil (Eucalyptus Globulus) This oil is obtained by steam distillation of the leaves, and has a characteristic odour. It is native to India. It is used for ulcers, coughs, colds, sore throats, parasitic skin affections, flu, sinusitis, laryngitis, asthma, bronchitis, catarrh, cystitis, rheumatism, muscle aches and joint pains. The leaves of this tree cool the body and relieve fever. This oil stimulates local blood flow. It is administered to horses in influenza, to dogs in distemper, to all animals in septicaemia. It is anti-biotic, anti-viral, anti-fungal, antiseptic, expectorant. It may be used for massage, bathing, inhalation, diffusion and insect repelling.
