JEWELWEED & SWEET FERN ANTI-ITCH SPRAY

This was our newest addition to our Poison Ivy collection in the summer of 2000, and immediately became the most popular item in the collection! There is some anecdotal evidence from herbal research suggesting that applying certain parts of the jewelweed plant may help prevent an outbreak of poison ivy by binding with skin molecules before the poison ivy plant does. While this is still being actively researched, we do know that applying the spray after exposure does significantly reduce itching and irritation. Highly concentrated, our potent herbal infusion is a beautiful orange color from the jewelweed blossoms and also contains our special blend of witch hazel leaves and twigs, sweet fern, comfrey, calendula, burdock and other highly effective anti-itching plants infused in a commercial solution of witch hazel extract. It can be extremely cooling and drying - spray on as needed or dab on with a cotton ball. In severe cases, soak a washcloth in the solution and cover affected area. NOTE: Commercial witch hazel solution is 14% alcohol, and can potentially cause stinging to skin that has been overly scratched. Please be careful if your skin is broken or extremely irritated; in such cases, the salve may be the best choice until initial healing begins.
