Procedure:
Using a propeller mixer, disperse Viscarin carrageenan down the vortex wall of rapidly stirring water.
Mix for 15 minutes at moderate speed until fully dissolved. Add the remaining ingredients.
How to use Viscarin Carrageenan:
Viscarin carrageenan can be dissolved by dispersing directly into water using high shear followed by
mixing for 10 to 15 minutes. Where formulations allow, Viscarin carrageenan can be pre-dispersed in
glycerin or propylene glycol for faster solubility.
Shampoo Properties:
The formulation above provides a clear, thixotropic shampoo capable of suspending bubbles or solid
materials (e.g. capsules, glitter). In this formulation, Viscarin PC 209 provides fluid rheology while
Viscarin PC 389 contributes a slight gel structure with the ability to suspend.
