It is appropriate to mention that the group has been the largest processor of Rice to the Food Corporation of India in the State of Tamil Nadu over the last decade attracting appreciation by the Ministry of Food and Civil Supplies, Government of Tamil Nadu. The Company has been a miller for FCI and TNCSC for over a decade.

India being the land of Rice, the most important staple food of over half the world population, enjoys suitable climatic conditions for rice cultivation and an ideal environment with over 70% of the Billion plus population depending on Agriculture for livelihood. The southern provinces of Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka have multiple varieties to offer namely Ponni, Bapatla, Sona Mahsuri, Samba, Seeraga samba, Arcot Kichili, IR, Aduthurai, CR etc. Among these Ponni, Bapatla and Sona Masuri enjoy wide cultivation over the last few years, though the rest of them are considered premium varieties too.
