You can also trip the Powerhorn from any other X-10 controller which is useful in panic situations. It can be set to respond to any of the 256 X-10 codes available. You simply press All lights On followed by All units Off repeatedly or press the unit code corresponding to the number set on the PH508 then press On, then Off repeatedly. This will trigger the Powerhorn after about 2 ON-OFF sequences and will continue as long as you keep repeating the sequence. The siren will shut off about 4 seconds after the last key is pressed.
When used with an X-10 security system or the SM10/PF284, the Powerhorn will trip a few seconds after the alarm trips and continues to sound until 4 seconds after the alarm is reset or disarmed.
The Powerhorn adds to any security system, the ability to trigger a remote siren without the need for any special wiring. You just plug it in. Any security system which uses the SM10/PF284 to flash lights when the alarm trips, can trigger the powerhorn.
The PH508 remote siren is a remote controlled powerline siren with a piercing 110 decibel sound output. It receives signals over existing house wiring and responds to the "All Lights On/All Units Off" flashing sequence from any X-10 Home security system or the SM10/PF284 burglar alarm interface.
