Model RND-2 Remote Network Annunciator
Description
The RND-2 is designed to annunciate network
events (alarms, troubles and supervisories) on the
MPC-Net2 network. It is capable of scrolling through
network events, while acknowledging these events
globally. In addition the RND-2 can perform global
alarm silence and reset functions. The RND-2 can
log on to any panel on the network. At that point,
access to user and maintenance levels for that panel
are available at the RND-2.
The 80-character display is used to display event
data, including
alarms and troubles,
identification of zone
or device, and presentation
of history.
The display is controlled
by a set of
four push button
switches commanding
the control
processor. A back
light is included in
the display to assure
visibility in low light,
but to conserve
power, it is only activated during a reported event
or on operation of a display control switch.
Individual LEDs on the panel are provided to
indicate System Alarm, Pre-Alarm, Supervisory,
Alarm Silenced, System Trouble and AC Power ON.
Direct push-button controls are provided for Alarm
Silence, Trouble Silence/Acknowledge, Menu and
System Reset.
Up to 16 RDC-2 remote annunciators can be slaved
off one RND-2. The RDC-2 duplicates the display
and control functions of the RND-2.
