The WNC-553IW supports advanced triple-codec MPEG-4, MJPEG, and 3GPP video compression formats. Motion JPEG delivers greater file integrity, making it ideal for critical monitoring situation. On the other hand, MPEG-4 format has smaller file size that makes it more useful for extended recording period or for use in low bandwidth networks. The convenience 3GPP format is special for mobile surveillance.
