Harbor Surveillance System (HSS)It has become increasingly critical - especially after 9/11 - that ports, coastal installations, and oilrigs around the world be safeguarded against unwanted intruders, who may intend sabotage, unlawful entry, or terror attacks. In answer to the pressing global need for reliable harbor protection and underwater port security, DSIT has developed a comprehensive Harbor Surveillance System that reliably detects, intercepts, and physically blocks intruders, including: divers swimmers SDVs (swimmer delivery vehicles) submersibles, including mini-subs small surface vessels, including rubber boats, kayaks, etc. mines DSIT's end-to-end system creates a unified Command and Control Center by integrating:sonar radar electro-optical devices (CCD and FLIR) underwater electronic net The system is fully operable in: shallow or deep water daytime or nighttime all weather conditions Packed with features & benefits, the system includes state-of-the-art components and advanced characteristics. Components: high frequency diver detection sonar systems electro-optic observation systems (day/night) high resolution radar underwater electronic net AUV command & control system direction unit medium frequency active sonar (optional) low frequency passive sonar (optional) Characteristics: sonar diver detection range: - 1200 m, good acoustic conditions, open breathing system - 700 m, poor acoustic condition, closed breathing system sonar SDV detection range: 2-5 km electro-optic detection range of swimmer's head: 2-3 km underwater net effective in very shallow areas & pillar breakwater AUV for remote control automatic underwater survey, controlled and communicates via acoustic channel (no wires) AUV includes forward-looking & side scan sonar systems AUV range between battery charges: 70 km at 3 knots automatic detection & tracking of underwater & surface targets target classification requires 1-2 operators direction unit directs attack force toward target (intercept) Features and Benefits: high probability of detection very low false alarm rate easy to operate and control detects divers with open or closed breathing systems detects swimmers detects small surface targets & submersibles detects & locates intruders in shallow & deep water, day & night, and in severe weather conditions physically blocks intruders adapts easily to individual harbor structures and configurations cutting-edge technologies: sonar, signal processing, tracking, software engineering, electro- optics, etc. hands-on user interface includes tactical map creation & update, tactical picture control, full monitoring and sensor data integration.
