Bluetooth Video Surveillance Reference Design

Our reference design for wireless video surveillance is well suited for:*Home intercoms*Video baby monitors*Home video monitoring systems*Business video surveillance.A fully digital 2.4-GHz wireless link is implemented for enhancing the operating range.The system consists of a camera and a display screen linked by a video link from camera to display screen and by an audio link between the two units.The reference design allows multiple remote camera units to be connected to a single base unit. Each remote unit has a CMOS image sensor which Provides video stream or still images. It supports NTSC or PAL Sources and supports Multi-Purpose control Buttons.The video stream (with audio) is encoded in real time and transmitted back to the base unit. The base unit controls which remote unit is active. It receivesThe video stream, decodes it in real time, and displays it on an Bluetooth enabled computer monitor where Adamyas custom software is installed. A Bluetooth USB dongle can also be used to stream it to non Bluetooth based systems.The base unit can also store the video images and audio to an MMC/SD card. A USB interface provides direct access to the stored data. The base And remote unit can be battery-operated.
