TITAN Micro Encoders/Decoders & SDSL Modem

Video Surveillance SystemsThe AVT SDSL Modem used in conjunction with the AVT TITAN Micro 2M Encoder/Decoder enables the transmission of a high quality live video picture over standard twisted pair copper cables at distances up to 10 km without regenerators and 80 km using regenerators. A low cost video surveillance solution can therefore be implemented where high bandwidth transmission facilities are not available or are expensive to install. The SDSL technology is tolerant to changing conductor diameter along the cable route and does not cause interference to adjacent pairs in the same cable.TITAN Micro 2M has an E1/T1 interface that can be connected directly to the SDSL modems, to 2-Mbit/s leased lines, the 2-Mbit/s ports of STM 1 Add& Drop Mul-tiplexers, microwave radio links, ATM switches(E1 Ports), etc. The TITAN Micro 2M-40dB variant, has a more sensitive line receiver and can be used for direct back-to-back connections via coaxial cable or symmetrical twisted pair copper lines over distances up to 2 km. A unique feature of the Micro 2M line interface is its integrated add/drop multiplexer that enables several units to be connected in a Daisy-chain(series) to allow multiple pictures to be transmitted over a single E1 line.Up to four cameras can be connected to the TITAN Micro Encoder and the TITAN Micro Decoder has two video outputs. Date, time and text strings can be displayed on the monitor. The live video signal is encoded at data rates from 64-kbit/s to 1.024-Mbit/s. An AVT enhanced version of the ITU-T Rec. H.261 Coding algorithm provides a Full CIF picture at refresh rates up to 15 frames/sec. For data transmission, camera selection and camera control, a Low Speed Data(LSD) channel is available and also four TTL interfaces that can be used for user-assigned functions.Other models in the range include TITAN Micro X21, TITAN Micro V.35 and TITAN Micro Ethernet.All Models feature automatic connection following power outages or transmission line outages,Technical Data Sheets may be downloaded from the AVT website.
