Introduction
The XVD Enterprise SD-TX100 (the Encoder) is a DSP-powered device for digitally encoding and transmitting audio/video (A/V) content from analog sources. The XVD-encoded content is packaged in
Ethernet packets and transmitted to the destination decoder. Suitable A/V sources include:
Analog cameras
Set-Top Boxes (cable, satellite, personal video recorder)
VCRs
DVD Players
The encoder software incorporates an embedded Web server, which allows it to send up to four encoded A/V streams. Instead of four separate A/V streams, the encoder can transmit a single A/V stream
to an Enterprise Server for re-broadcast to multiple receivers. Suitable decoders include:
SD-RX100 Decoder
HD/SD-RX2000 Decoder
Streaming Server
Enterprise PC-based player applications
Internet Explorer ActiveX Plug-in Player
MultiView Player
PDA with Player Software
Cell phone with Player Software
Note: Now with XVDs ProXVD Network Analysis and Forward Error Correction capability, the SD-TX100 provides an even more robust IP streaming connection.
This document explains the operation of the XVD Enterprise SD-TX100 with Web-based User Interface.
