The CX25850, CX25851, and CX25853 are the first of many products from Conexant specifically designed for the video surveillance market. The first eight channel video decoder, the CX25853, re-syncs
with the market demand of 8 and 16 Channel PC and stand alone DVR solutions, enabling lower cost system solutions for video decoding and compression. Additionally, the CX25853 embeds two video
encoders which will allow the system to display any two video channels from internal to the CX25853 or external to the device from another video decoder for compression codec. Conexant offers two
four channel video decoders CX25850 and CX25851 that address DVR solutions requiring only four real-time or eight non-real-time input video channels. Like the CX25853, these devices also include
two video encoders, which can display any two internal channels or any two external digital channels. The family of CX25850/1/3 decoders focuses on video quality, using multiple 10 bit ADCs, each
with an independent 4H adaptive luminance and chrominance comb filter for NTSC and PAL. Additionally, each video decoder has an independent scaler which can reduce the video image size down to
one-eighth its size both horizontally and vertically. The CX25850/1/3 can be used for real-time and non-real-time systems. In real-time systems, the product family can support four and eight video
channels at full frame rate of 30 frames per second (FPS) respectfully. For Non-real-time systems, the CX25850/1/3 can fast lock within one field, minimizing frame loss and maximizing switching
frame rates. The family of decoders is optimized to handle low input signals, which is typical in video sources at long distances from the DVR. Features: 10-bit ADCs and DACs Multiple video
decoders with two analog composite inputs per decoder Fast locking (<1 field) and low signal locking (100mVp-p) Independent scaling on each video decoder path BT.656/VIP digital interfaces
Dedicated monitor output programmable to switch between decoder paths and/or cascade multiple devices together
