SICE has developed this storage system to allow images to be monitored and displayed as required by the client.
This system allows JPG images acquired from video signals to be stored on the hard drive of a computer and then transmitted to a control centre, where an image database is manager and
monitored.
Technical characteristics
The equipment digitises and records images captured at certain preset intervals (for example, one every second) from a video signal. Upon request or automatically, images are sent to the control
centre or database server.
The viewing and management application allows a certain camera or several at the same time to be monitored on the online computers screen, showing images at certain time intervals or displaying
images offline from any camera from past time periods.
In summary, the GYMID performs the following functions:
- Monitors images of sites where digital communications of any kind can be established: RTC, RDSI, GSM, cable, etc.
- Automatically records repeated images with minimal intervention by operators and over long time periods.
- Manages offline display and analysis via the use of various applications.
- Displays images individually, with the option of viewing previous images (from hours, days or even months before) quickly and simply.
