For fire fighting purposes (fire brigade) an automated mixing system is used. In that, and prior to pumping out water, the fire protection paste is injected and mixed with water.  The mixture increases the viscosity of water and indeed when sufficient amount of paste is injected a foam like substance is produced. The agent, a colourless substance, is added to any of the existing plastic based paints before application. It provides an enormously strong and effective coating that increases the fire resistance capability by many folds.
