Flame arrester

The Kemp Model FA18 and FA50 flame arresters offter economical, high perfor-mance, in-line protection against pipeline deflagrations , in five cast sizes. The FA18 series flame arresters are available with threaed connections in standard pipe sizes up to 4 inches. The FA50 series flame arresters are available with flanged connec-tions, also in standard pipe sizes up to 4 inches. Standard housing material is high temperature cast iron construction with type 316 stainless steel flame barriers.

Applications
The FA18 and FA50 double barrier flame arresters are designed for in-line protection against backfires and sustained burning of flammable gases or vapors with flame speeds below 10 feet per second.
When fitted with an optiona; weather-hood, they excel as end-of-line vent flame arresters to prevent fires or explosions from exterior flame sources.
