The Public Announcement System RUPOR is intended for broadcasting of announcements and notifications, recorded beforehand, to ensure security and order in case of
fire or other extraordinary circumstances.
According to its capacities, the RUPOR system belongs to the class 3 (NPB 77-98 classification). If autonomous communication devices are used on the RUPOR basis, a composite
system can be created, which would be classified in the class 4.
-
RUPOR can function in notification mode, initiated from the ORION controller or from an access control device (or relay module) of another fire alarm system.
Operating in manual mode is also possible
-
RUPOR can function autonomously or within the ORION system
-
If RUPOR is used as a part of the ORION system, its control is accomplished through the interface RS-485
-
If RUPOR is used separately from the ORION system, its control is accomplished by interrupting one of the inbuilt alarm loops. Interruption of each loop
corresponds to a particular annunciation scenario
-
RUPOR allows parameter programming: notification time and its delay, intervals between verbal messages, introduction to a verbal notification (sound signal to
draw attention). Notifications themselves and their broadcasting priority can be programmed
-
Broadcasting of several notifications in a sequence according to their priority (an annunciation can be interrupted by another, more urgent one). Notifications
with the same level of priority are broadcasted one after another. These possibilities can be used to modify the order of personnel evacuation (for example, if fire has involved
one of the exits)
-
Acoustic modules are used as executive elements for verbal notifications
-
Detection of breaking into the housing (tampering); control of communicative channels and power supply
-
Status indication of the device, internal signaling loops, power supply etc.
-
Self-testing mode
-
Operating control tools can be locked
