in the food and beverage industry it is mandatory to adhere to european haccp regulations (hazard analysis and critical inspection matters), according to which chemicals and high voltage grids are not allowed to be used in electric insect traps.in replacement of the high voltage grid, a special, laboratory tested, glue surface that attracts and traps insects is used instead.these insect traps have special lamps (black light). the light that is emitted from these lamps is more attracting to insects from greater distances than light emitted from common lamps. they can be used in any area with lots of insects. they have a special inner glue trap and protect us from all common insects (mosquitos, flies, gnats, e.t.c ) that are attracted by the special light. they are installed at a height of 1,60 - 1.80cm and in a clearly visible area in order to attract more insects. haccp legislation of hygiene clauses are tl/195/97-ce93/43 and 96/3. these clauses are mandatory for all the food and beverage industry as well as the food selling and preparing industry (restaurants, bakeries, candy shop, supermarkets, butcher shops e.t.c.) for the device to operate more efficiently it is good practice to change the glue covered replacement part once a month.
