Since sample and reference beams are measured simultaneously by two separate but identical detectors, the effect of lamp drift is virtually eliminated. This means that analysis can begin immediately without waiting for the lamp to stabilize. Also sample and blank are compared simultaneously rather than at separate times.The SD-1000 with built-in Color LCD monitor, hard disk storage and standard windows XP operating system provides the same features as a separate PC.Any standard PC device such as a printer or data storage device can be connected to the USB port. Standard windows programs such as Excel may be installed and files are saved in standard PC formats.
