For ease of removal sensorsplug into theZR400radio base by a simple twist and lock action. Basesare installedusinga matching fixing plate.

Temperature andsmokesensitivity can be set by selectionswitches located on the baseplateof the unit, calibration and selftest are carried outautomatically.Removal or replacement of anincorrect sensing device isidentified bythe system and detailsdisplayed at the main controlpanel.Sophisticated auto contaminationadjustment compensates foranylong-term drift in performance, caused bydirt entering thesensingchamber.

Eachwireless device, controlled through theZR470radio interface unit, isassigned its own IDENT address, with whichthemain control panelcommunicates, providing the same systemfacilitiesas directly wireddevices.

Theunitis controlled directly from the main controlpanel, via a loopwiredradio interface module. Up to 127 devices can beconnected toeach ofthe control panel loops, allowing both wireless andhardwireddevices tobe seamlessly located and controlled from the samewiringloop.

Temperatureresponse meetstherequirements of European Standard EN54 Part 5.(Settable to grade 1orgrade 3), with smoke sensitivity complying withEN54 Part 7. Thesensoris approved by several international approvalbodies.

Smokesensing can be isolated forareaswhere ambient smoke may exist atcertain times of the day, or usedon aday night basis in premises whereheat only is required whilstthebuilding is occupied.

Individualmonitoringofeach element, measures actual smoke levels, in additiontotemperaturerates of rise. When installed using the ZR401 basethesensors operationcan be selected as either smoke or heat. TheZR402base enables the unitto operate as a multi sensor utilizing bothsmokeand heat channels.
