The Febramax extinguisher is available with 6 and 9 liters extinguishant.
In case of cooking oil or fat fires Febramax forms a closed barrier layer above the fat or oil and thus stops the oxygen supply. At the same time the foam water mixture cools the burning substance down below the inflammation temperature and thus prevents the fire from flaring up again.
Fat fires often occur in kitchens. They spread very quickly and are difficult to extinguish. The obligatory CO2 extinguishers and extinguishing blankets used in canteen kitchens up to now proved to be insufficient and water results in devastating fat explosions. Therefore the extinguishant Febramax, which is approved for fire classification A and especially for fat fires, was developed.
