type of guard rail system used over the word, such as a steel wire rope system, concrete crash barriers, double or triple corrugated beam system, open box type of beam, & etc. The guard rail system
manufactured by Galva Coat consists of a cold formed double corrugated steel guard rail beams, posts and spacers, in addition to the connecting bolts and other accessories. The following is the
description of each item: a. Double Corrugated Beam:The double corrugated beam is formed by continuous roll forming machine with an unfolded sheet width of 480mm and thicknesses from 2.6 up to
3.43mm as per the project specifications with thickness tolerances according to AASHTO standard. Beams are made out of hot rolled mild steel coils of grade and specifications as per the project
requirements. The final beam width is 311mm and shaped as shown in our catalogue. Beams have a deflection and tensile strength as required by the AASHTO standard. b- Posts and Spacers:Posts and
spacers are formed from hot rolled coils and shaped as C-Channels with dimensions and thicknesses as per the project requirements. Posts can be cut to any length required. Spacers are 350mm long.
Posts and spacers are formed from material meeting the requirements of the project. c- Bolts, Nuts, and Washers:Bolts, nuts and washers are made from steel grade 8.8. Bolts have doomed head with
GALVA COAT stamp on the head. All bolts, nuts, and washers are hot dip galvanised to ASTM A 153. d- Accessories:All guard rails accessories shown on our catalogue can be provided along with our
system, such as a Mitred End Beams, Departure End (Fish Tail type A), Approach End (Fish Tail type C), Nose End (Fish Tail type D), Fish Tail type B and Light Reflectors. e- Finish:The finishing of
beams, posts, and spacers is hot dip galvanised to ASTM A 123 and BS EN 1461. With minimum average coating thickness of 70 microns on each face of the sheet, but not more than 120 microns. f-
Reflectors: Reflectors are prismatic type having two reflective faces, red and white.
