Our Rice quality process starts in the rice paddies.
In order to ensure raw material quality supplies the farmers with selected seed. These seeds have been developed through partnerships with research institutions, within official standards and are
monitored by the Ministry of Agriculture. Besides assisting the farmers this system enables product standardization, since the varieties of rice that are planted are a known factor.

Presently Brazil has the most advanced parboiling technology in the world. The process in use preserves the highest percentage of vitamins and mineral salts in the rice grain. We go one step
further. The great difference lies in the pre-cooking (parboiling) procedure, which is done using only mineral water with natural fluoride. It is one of the few companies in the world to
adopt this process, which besides ensuring total product quality, brings out an unmatched flavor.
Parboiling
This process is based on the hydrothermal treatment of rice while it is still within its husk. Water and heat dissolve the vitamins and mineral salts, which are in the husk and rice germ. These
nutrients remain in suspension in the water, which is free of any chemical agents, and migrate to the inside of the rice grain by absorption. Next the rice is subjected to high temperature with
which the grain starch gelatinizes and fixes the nutrients. During the next stages the rice goes into a drier and from there to husking, polishing and selection.
