Gelman BH Class II Series Type B1 Biological Safety Cabinets with its unique double HEPA filtration and airflow systems is an effective laboratory aid in obtaining the optimum control over product quality while reducing the potential for exposure of both product and personnel to airborne biological or particulate agents, aerosol particles, chemical vapours or gases which may be liberated in the preparation, manipulation and dispensing during the course of work.Gelman BH Class II Series Type B1 biological safety cabinets are designed to provide a high degree of personnel, environment and product protection for work with low to moderate risk biological agents that require Biosafety Level 1, 2 or 3 containment.The Type B1 cabinets may be used with biological agents treated with minute quantities of toxic chemicals and trace amounts of radionuclides required as an adjunct to microbiological studies or pharmaceutical work. If work is done in the direct exhaust portion of the cabinet or if the chemicals or radionuclides will not interfere with the work; it re-circulated in the downflow air.
