APPLICATIONSGelman Glovebox (Negative Pressure) Series Isolators with its unique double exhaust HEPA filtration system are designed to provide a high degree of personnel, environment and product protection in applications involving:Aseptic compounding of hazardous or potent pharmaceutical compounds, chemotherapy agents and IV admixtures. Handling of biological agents and other hazardous materials that require Biosafety Level 1, 2 or 3 containment and aseptic manipulation.OPERATIONHEPA-filtered pass-through chambers, fitted to each side of the cabinet provide a continuous inflow of sterile air.The air blends with the re-circulated laminar flow air and passes through a primary exhaust HEPA filter located below the work zone. This filter arrests particulates and aerosols released within the work zone, thereby protecting fans, other cabinet components, maintenance technicians and the environment from contamination.Product protection is provided by HEPA filtered vertical laminar air flow in the work zone which creates an ultra-clean work environment better than Class 100 in accordance with AS1386.1.The exhaust air is biologically cleaned by a secondary exhaust HEPA filter before discharged to the laboratory. An optional activated carbon filter arrests volatile contaminants.Gelman Zero Leak system ensures that all positive pressure zones are surrounded by negative pressure zones so as to contain potentially hazardous materials or aerosols within the cabinet.SPECIAL FEATURES?
