Rice varieties in Vietnam are plentiful and diversified in quality, grown all year round and nation-wide. According to time classification, the rice consists of ultra-short, short-term, medium-term and long-term. Beside popular kinds, there are many aromatic rice specialities such as: Khao Dawk, Mali 105 and Jamine 85
 

Vietnamese Rice:
Harvested area : 7,484,200 ha.
Production       : 31,970,000 tons.
Harvest periods: Winter-Spring crop: from December to May; Summer-Autumn crop: from May to August; Main crop: from July to November.
Main Varieties  : Beside many high quality varieties, there are specialties such as KhaoDawk, Mali 105 and Jasmine 85.
