Spark Gap Surge Arrestors

Small size Surge Arresters manufactured by PLASMA, JSC are available in a ceramic-metal envelope and contain no radioactive materials. Electrodes are fabricated from copper or iron-nickel alloys and are activated by barium and cesium salts. These Surge Arrestors are manufactured either with two or three leads enabling simultaneous protection of symmetric lines.

of R-150...R-160 series with breakdown voltage from 70 to 1500 V are designed to protect one cable or circuit.

of R-91...R-96 series with breakdown voltage from 80 to 600 V are able to protect two circuits simultaneously, thus eliminating cross-phasing and decreasing transverse voltages down to an safe level.

(Multi Gaps) R-34M, R-98, R-99, R-103 are specially designed for protection of high-voltage electrode circuits of cathode-ray tubes against internal breakdowns. Termination of an overvoltage surge by a Spark Gap is followed by immediate restoration of its insulating abilities with no adverse sequences for the protected circuit.
R-34M, R-64M and R-64-1 Spark Gaps with a high extinction potential are designed for circuits operating with a remote power supply.
