*C144 Firestop Strip is manufactured from 110 kg/m3 density slab. C700 Firestop and Acoustic Foam being a component of structure satifies both the integrity and insulation requirements as shown in the table above.
PFC Corofil Firestop and Acoustic Foam C700 can be identified from other builders' foam by its pink colour in the cured state.
Do not cut back the face of the foam once it has cured, as this will seriously reduce the fire resisting characteristics.
The foam is tack free in approximately 20 minutes and fully cured within 2 to 4 hours.
Fill the joint to approximately half it's width allowing the foam to expand. With larger joints it may be necessary to allow one layer to cure before foaming another layer on top.
Joints should first be clean, dry and free from dust, grease or any other loose material. The surfaces should be lightly moistened to ensure good adhesion. The can must be shaken vigorously for approximately 30 seconds and then the nozzle screwed onto the valve. The can is then inverted and the trigger depressed to extrude the foam.
PFC Corofil C700 Fire Rated and Acoustic Foam is a one part, moisture curing polyurethane foam. The foam is supplied in 700ml cans and is available in either hand held or gun grade cans.
PFC Corofil C700 Fire Stop and Acoustic Foam is suitable for filling gaps in fire rated block/brickwork walls and concrete floors. Tested to BS476 Part 20, C700 Foam has been shown to give up to 4 hours fire protection.
