The gap between the parapet insulation units should be the minimum permissible; in order to offset the high temperature and/or differences in temperature the units should be made of a composition of butyl and silicone.
When solar control glasses with high light permeability are in question the 3rd and 4th layers may be made of Enameled to avoid light from penetrating through the parapet gaps and to totally prevent the view of the coating. Although the standard color of the Enameled Glass is black, any of the RAL colors that best match the window areas may be selected.
OPAQUE PARAPET INSULATION GLASSES
The shadow box made of mat, dark colored (generally black) cover placed 50 mm in the rear of parapet glass, gives the effect of a dark room and gives a generally acceptable appearance on the fa?ade. Colorless internal glass insulation units are used on shadow box solutions on coated single layer glasses may not be a good idea because of the dust collection on coated surfaces, condensation and smearing of the designs.
It is commonly shared view among many designers that when especially high light permeable solar control glasses are selected that best insulation can be achieved with parapet glasses and color harmony between the fa?ade glazing and parapet areas are available. There are two approaches recommended in this regard.

DURACAM? WITH ITS NUMEROUS COLORS MAY BE SUCCESSFULLY USED AS FA?ADE GLAZING BY HAVING THE PRINT APPEAR ON THE SECOND SURFACE.
ENAMELED DURACAM? panels made of colorless or colored from mixture float glass by applying enamel with RAL colors and tempering process are a good solution when unity in appearance between the window pane and parapet glasses are not required or a contrast is desired.

On windows with structural silicone, the element that makes opaque at the edges of the parapet glasses have to be pealed at a certain width, in order to stick the supporting elements. This matter should be specified at the time of placing the order.
High light reflectivity and low light permeability have the feature of increasing the harmony between the windows and parapets.
the second surfaces of the heat-treated single layer glasses are made opaque with a special black polyester film and are made into parapet panels.
Parapet Panels made opaque with polyester have reflective sun control cladding,
SINGLE LAYER PARAPET SOLUTIONS
The parapet glasses, which complete the fa?ade glazing, are used to hide the structural and mechanical elements of the building. Parapet glasses may be selected to be in harmony or in contrast with the window panes. The compatibility of the window panes and parapet glasses can be examined on a mock-up arrangement prior to placing the order.
