The overload tell-tails and red inner casing allows for quick visual safe working inspection of the sling. The condition of the core yarn can be inspected by the use of the fibre optic cable incorporated in the manufacturing of the sling. If crushing, cutting, heat or chemical damage has occurred the optical fibre will not transmit light from one end to the other. Twin Path Slings are used world wide in replacement of wire rope and chain slings for heavy lifts. They are used in the mining industry for towing applications. They are 10% the weight of a steel sling and are repairable. They are only 1% stretch at rated capacity compared to 9% for polyester round slings.
