Sudan IV is not a permitted colour under the Colours in FoodRegulations 1995. It is considered to be a genotoxic carcinogen and itspresence, at any level, is not permitted in foodstuffs for any purpose.

All Natural Pure Palm Oil (Ngopa), has been found to be contaminatedwith the illegal dye, Sudan IV. So far, the following sizes of AllNatural Palm Oil, pure palm oil (Ngopa) are known to be contaminated:
