Seating Fire Barrier

Pro-Bloc complies with the strictest UK, European and international standards when tested either as an individual fabric or as part of an upholstered seat including railway and aircraft industry approvals from the UK, France, Germany, Spain and the USA. In addition, all TBA materials are produced within the guidelines of ISO 9001, maintaining specification compliance, high quality and product consistency at all times.

Product compliance

Pro-bloc can be supplied in the form of individually prepared cut-parts tailored to the requirements of the particular seat.

Bespoke service

TBAs on-site testing facilities include indicative testing to the requirements of BS6583 (3 metre cube smoke emission test) and BS5852: Part 2 (Complete seat flammability). This enables the Customer to decide whether a seat is likely to pass in a full-scale test, thereby saving money on repeated full-scale testing.

Product testing and development

Pro-Bloc is available with slash resistant properties, which prevents the fire barrier from being breached by knives or other sharp objects and leaving the foam vulnerable to fire.

Anti-vandal

The Pro-Bloc proprietary fibre blend successfully combines the attributes of several fibres to minimise the emissions of harmful combustion by-products.

Low smoke and toxic fume emissions

The inherently flame resistant fibres used in Pro-Bloc create a barrier to the passage of flame in fire situations.
