Bushing for fishing tools

So for some manufacturers of fishing reels and fishing supply, bushing can be an easier solution.

Production of bushing can be easier and faster than ball bearings.

Ball bearings wear less than bushings. That means that they don't develop the looseness or wobble that bushings do after a year or so of heavy use. Of course, many anglers don't notice difference. Ball bearings are not necessarily smoother than bushings. Brand-new and well-made bushings can actually be smoother than ball bearings. Also, bushings require less break-in time.
