The Shimano Hydrothermal Drag System rewrites the rule on heat as itautomatically compensates to keep the original drag setting intact. TheTiagra's pre-lubricated graphite drag washer operation is impervious tosaltwater and always starts smoothly. Tiagra's one piece frame ismachine cut out of an aluminium tube to a thickness of 7mm (try to findone that's thicker). It's also why Tiagra has four shielded stainlesssteel ball bearings, (the 130 actually has 6) heavy duty stainlesssteel gears, and a two speed shifting mechanism where the pinion anddrive gears are continuously engaged. The Tiagra also features aCalibrated Drag Pre Set Knob. The unique preset knob has detents withapproximately 1/2 pound increments for easy adjustment. The largehandle knob is counterweighted so that it always rests in an easy tograb vertical position. At 89 decibels the super loud clicker is theloudest found on any production reel. In short, there is simply nobetter big game reel than a Shimano Tiagra.The Tiagra TI 20 has a narrow spool for faster line pickup and lesswobble while winding.
