Psychobass Top Water Plug Fishing Lure

These exquisite top water plugs are handcrafted by our artisans using carefully selected timber of the highest quality. Each and every lure is then hand painted to perfection by our airbrush artists using automotive paints and materials. Imported hardware from Japan and USA are rigged on to the painted plugs. These completed plugs are then tank tested and tuned so that they can be fished right out from the box.

Timber Selection
Trees are selected from plantations still firmly rooted to the ground as they are less likely to be infested with insects and bugs compared to logs which are left stranded in the warehouses awaiting for buyers.

Timber Preparation
The selected trees are then logged and sent straight to the saw mill to be cut into planks for curing in kilns. They are cured for a minimum of 45 days to extract most of the moisture trapped inside the wood. The cured planks are sent again to the saw mill to be cut into blocks for carving. Blocks from different parts of the tree have different weight due to difference in density distribution. The blocks are then weighed and separated into their respective weight range for making different models. Up to 50% of these blocks are discarded because they are either too heavy or too light for application.

Fabrication
The selected blocks are then shaped and carved to it's unique and distinctive profile which differentiates it from what other manufacturers are offering. Each of our artisan can only produce an average of 3 PsychoBass plugs per day.The plugs are then sanded down to smooth out any rough edges and to prepare the surface for painting.

Painting Processes
Plugs are painted with at least 8 coats of heavy duty primer which requires at least 8 hours to cure in between coats, and are sanded down in between every single coat to ensure that all wood pores are filled in and a flawless surface is achieved. The plugs are then painted with automotive paints to their respective color codes. Finally 3 layers of top coat are painted to protect the colored plugs.

Hardware Assembly
Quality stainless steel hook hangers, screw eyes, split rings and hooks are attached onto the painted plugs by skilled hands.

Tank Test and Tuning
The fully rigged plugs are tank tested to check their swimming action and hand tuned to swim true.

Packing
Lures are packed into clear plastic tubes and ready to be delivered to customers.

Application
These PsychoBass plugs have accounted for species like Peacock Bass, Sebarau, Barramundi, Mangrove Jack, Groupa, just to name a few. They are equally suited for both fresh and salt water species.
