By further developing on the successful CR1 process, Scott has created the state of the art Integrated Moulding Process. (IMP) and mated it with the Naked External Tubeset (NET). This removes the
cosmetic layer of carbon and shaves grams off the entire frame.
Developed with the feed back from the Pro Tour Saunier Duval Prodir athletesThe Addict also features carbon dropouts, alloy replaceable hanger, and a carbon front mech mount.When combined with the slimmer carbon IMP fork that weighs 330 grams, the new Addict R3 weighs in at 6.8 Kg (size 54). Unlike the other Addicts the Scott Addict R4 does not include and integrated seatpost.

The all white Scott Addict R4 frame is highlighted by the new black chrome Shimano Ultegra SL, which shaves an additional 100 grams off regular Shimano Ultegra while offering a shiny new finish, accompanied with Mavic Ksyrium Elites and Ritchey WCS alloy components.
