However,I have to write that our licence agreement has expired after 1996 and as I mentioned,we produce the tractor in our own name and brand.
By the way I would like to write that our types of tractors are not an imitation of Steyr.In mentioned period above,The campony paid some 17 000 000 DM to buy production of some types of Steyr.
Our main engine is Steyr 768 type.
After 1996 The Company has created its own brand as Basak and proceed to produce the tractors in this brand. In 2003,Basak has been privatized.
Brand of Basak is created by Steyr Tractors during joint venture period between 1977-96 as a public enterprise.In this period; our factory was producing tractors under Steyr licence and its name.Also,It has exported to Europe and some African countries 25 000 units.Now.In Turkey,our farmers use 45 000 units of Steyr brand tractors manufactured by our plant in Adapazari.
