Note: Please see below for the limited edition Orca Ultimate Rival model (also pictured left).
Using Toray M40J, the most advanced carbon fibre avaiable for bicycles, Orbea created a frame that is lighter and stiffer than any bike they have ever made. The Orcas size-specific tubing (which
offers different shapes, thicknesses and lengths of tubing for each size in the range) has a nerve that runs the length of the frame to maximize stiffness and maintain a silky smooth ride.
The Orbea Orca Classic has proved extremely popular with riders who love to climb, and it is especially suited to hilly cyclosportives - which covers most of them! Like all Orbea bikes, the
Orca is built in the Basque country close to the Pyrenees, and the Euskaltel team based in the area specializes in taking on the big mountain stages of the Grand Tours. Their input has
ensured that the Orca goes uphill, and descends the other side, as well as any other bike around - and also leaves you feeling as fresh as possible for the dash to the line. Now available in a 20%
stiffer "Evolution" version too, for those looking for the ultimate race performance (see below).
Epic Cycles are the UK's number one Orca dealer, so we have unrivalled access to framesets, bikes, and the latest models. We also know Orbea's carbon products inside out, so if you need any advice
or recommendations please give us a call or drop us an email and we'll do our best to help you out.

New for 2009 is the Orca Evolution - this takes the Orca Classic described above and combines extra stiffness (up to 20%) with 90g less weight from the use of carbon fibre in the head badge/cable
guides, lighter dropouts and a magnesium seat clamp, to deliver an even more race orientated ride. Available in a range of colour options including matt black, white, orange and blue, with frame
shapes that are exactly the same as the classic model.
